Schools across Canada are gearing up for National UNICEF Day as teachers and students engage  in various activities to raise awareness and funds.

I want to highlight this important campaign, not only because it is a very worthwhile cause, but also because UNICEF Canada has developed accompanying lesson plans for teachers which support global education and children’s rights.  These lesson plans support students in developing a deeper understanding of the issues for which they are fundraising – critical in fostering active global citizenship.

These lessons are available in french and english and can easily be used throughout the school year!

We would really like to see what you and your students did for National UNICEF Day!
